How does Candid Commodities control access to the proprietary charting tools? Our Member Services team individually enables your computer for the CC Indicator Suite based upon a unique code on your computer's network card, called a "machine ID" or "mac address." We are able to remotely control which computers have access to the charting tools and which do not. After subscribing, we provide you with detailed instructions on how to obtain and provide this information to us during the setup process. Without an active subscription, you are unable to access and use the tools even if you have access to the trading front ends that we support.

CC Indicator Suite Technical FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

I installed the indicators, why aren't they showing up as an available indicator? Please go back over the installation steps as outlined on this page under "Installation Instructions." If you try to insert an indicator on to a chart but do not see a "CC" or "Candid Commodities" group of indicators, the installation was not successful. Try the process again, reboot your computer, and try again. If they still do not show up, please contact support.

I see the indicators installed, but why are they not showing up when I insert one onto a chart? Check for errors printed on the chart itself. Frequently it will say something like "This machine is not registered..." if you aren't registered on our server. It usually is a matter of registering your machine ID with Candid Commodities. In any case, the error should display on the chart. if it doesn't, check the error output window for your software. For dt Pro, it can be found by using menu option View -> Custom indicators -> Log. This shows a small window that displays feedback from custom indicators. View the message here and contact support.

Why isn't CC Navigator showing up on my 64 bit computer? This is a known issue on 64 bit computers. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

How do the CC Tools calculate volume for FX when there is no volume present? Typically the indicator will become a TPO indicator, which means "time-price opportunity" but we prefer to refer to it as "times price occurred." This means that if no volume is present, the indicator uses 1 as the volume for every tick. This ensures that the indicator measures the number of times a price has been reached. When volume is present, it uses volume weighting. For instance, if volume is 500 at a price of 1250.00 and the volume is 150 at a 1249.00 price, then the indicator gives more weight to the 1250.

Occasionally my indicator values change very frequently and I must push "refresh" to correct the issue. Why? This is a known issue on 64 bit computers. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

Why are my CC Indicator values different than my collegue's values Usually, the only way to fully and (almost) always completely sync with another user's indicator values is to have the same charting software, datafeed and settings. If you both use dt Pro, for example, and you have different values, try sharing the exact same settings file. You may export yours by going to File -> Export Settings...and having your associate choose Input Settings and inport the file you exported.

How do I "point" the CC Market Map in the other direction? The Market Map will seem to "point" right or left depending on which direction trhe peaks are pointing to. You can change the direction of this behavior by simply changing Bar1 with Bar2. For instance, if Bar1 = 50 and Bar2 = 0, simply make Bar1 = 0 and Bar2 = 50;
